Very nice amp with one very weird terminal connection

I bought the NVX VADM2 amp which is rated at 440w into 2 channels. Huge power for something this small. I have my doubts that it produces anywhere near this amount of power but it is certainly way more than I needed. The size and shape is what was most important to me. I had a small spot under my dash that I wanted in install an amp into and this amp fit the bill. It seems like a high quality product but I found one thing very strange. The terminal block that the speaker wires connect to has the screws that tighten down on the wire facing DOWN. So you must remove the end cap and then hook up the wires before it is installed in its location. After mounting, you can't get a screwdriver in there to tighten them. Weird design choice.

What an awesome little amp!!

This amplifier is awesome and the price for it amazing. Installed it in my 2022 HD Road Glide setting the input to 5v while using a speaker level to input level converter till I could flash the GTS radio and fully set the input voltage and crossover. Once I flashed the GTS radio to a flatter EQ and lower output voltage I set the input voltage on the amp with radio playing a 1khz signal at full volume using a Oscilliscope to find when it clipped and backing off to a clean signal. Scope shows that at 28.1v which with a 4ohm speaker would be 197 watts, impressive! In the garage all tuned the speakers are clean and ear bleedingly loud. Have Polk 652 speakers installed and this amp woke them up big time! Highly recomend this awesome little class D amplifier from NVX!

It's a speaker cooker!

The 440W 2ch Class D Sounds great and the reverse polarity protection works. Make sure your speakers can handle the power. I didn't and ended up smoking the 6.5in component speakers on FLHX while out on a ride. The amp does get pretty warm. I added a small fan in the fairing to help with air circulation.I got new speakers that can handle more power but can only turn it up half way. Even at half volume it's an impressive improvement over stock.

Top Shelf Amp, Lower Price Point, My Harley is Happy

This amp really woke up the Kenwood 5 3/4" speakers I had in the fairing of my street glide. I thought they were crappy speakers, so I bought this amp with some Diamond Audio speakers to get my sounds right. It sounded good with the old speakers (tested with them so as not to risk hurting the new and expensive ones). It sounds GREAT with the DA 6.5"s. I am only using 30% gain. This could run four more speakers if desired. Fit perfect on a bracket I made right above the radio. Really looks like DA's amp and it would not surprise me if it was the same unit for half the cash. Really happy with this badboy!
